PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This commission primarily involved improving the graphic design of the existing website. The website was visually unappealing, so the most important aspect of the work on the new website was to improve the design while retaining the illustrations used in the previous version.
After analysing the current version, I came to the conclusion that there was no point in improving the design itself, which the client ultimately agreed with and accepted the proposal to create a dedicated theme.
To speed up the order, I used an HTML template, but only in terms of the front-end framework it offered (Bootstrap + ready-made CSS allowing for faster visual effects to be applied to the created elements). The final design, however, is my own idea.
This is not just a regular showcase website. The client’s idea was also to create a database of courses to be included in the offer presented on the website. For this purpose, separate sections were created in the admin panel, allowing not only courses but also lecturers to be added, which together created a mini-portal for the online course offer.
Special widgets have been created for presenting courses on the website, with the option to choose between presenting courses, lecturers or blog entries.
The website has also been adapted for blogging, so it has its own unique subpage designs for articles that match the website’s design.
